About the Competition

C+C Photography Gallery’s Global Fine Art Photography Competition was created with the intention of discovering new and innovative fine art photographers. Awards will be given for one single standout image, as well as for a standout cohesive series of photographs. One overall winner will receive full representation in all three of C+C Photography Gallery’s locations in New York, Nantucket, and Palm Beach. The top 10 finalists will also be featured in a special group exhibition in New York in October 2024.

Description of Awards

The winners of the 2024 Award for Single Image of the Year and 2024 Award for Photography Series of the Year will have their winning photograph(s) listed and available for purchase for one (1) year on the C+C Photography Gallery website.

The OVERALL WINNER for Artist Representation with C+C Photography Gallery will receive a one (1) year contract with the gallery to have their work exhibited, sold, and promoted in all three of the gallery’s locations in New York, Nantucket, and Palm Beach.

The Top 10 Finalists will be invited to exhibit their winning photograph(s) in a special group exhibition in New York in October 2024. All winners and finalists will also receive online promotion on the C+C Photography Gallery website and social media.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all members of the public. It is the applicant’s responsibility to check their local state and country guidelines for participation eligibility. C+C Photography Gallery accepts no responsibility for any state or government violations. If under the age of 16, applicants must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to enter.

Image Criteria

Images submitted should be no larger than 120 dpi, and should not exceed 3 MB per image. Image dimensions should be at least 9 inches on the long side. All images should be JPEG files.

Deadline for Submission

The application will go live on May 1st, 2024.

All entries must be submitted by July 31, 2024 August 15, 2024 at 11:59PM EDT to be considered.

Announcement of Winners

Winners will be notified and officially announced by C+C Photography Gallery on August 19 30, 2024. If selected as a winner or finalist, photographers must be able to deliver framed and gallery-ready prints of their winning photograph(s) to our New York gallery by September 30, 2024. More details will be provided by the C+C Photography Gallery team following the official announcement.

Entry Fee

An application fee of $50 per image will apply. To enter, applicants must fill out the form and submit the relevant application fee via the Application Page. No refunds will be given for ineligible or disqualified applications.
*Extended Application fee (August 1-15, 2024) $75 per image*

Judges

Our panel of judges will include internationally acclaimed photographers Dean West and Nathan Coe, as well as esteemed gallerist Ronald Cavalier.

Dean West is best known for his intricate, staged photographs that take everyday occurrences beyond the realm of natural reality. Extraordinary in their tonal range, digital clarity, and artistic vision, West’s meticulously choreographed scenes, character studies, and atmospheric landscapes powerfully yet synthetically link needs to desires and documentation to invention.

Nathan Coe is a renowned photographer whose works hang in private collections worldwide. Celebrating the beautiful unpredictability of both the natural landscape and of the human body, each of Coe’s photographs capture a visceral, organic moment in time.

With over forty years of gallery experience, Ronald Cavalier is a major presence in the art world. As the Founder and President of Cavalier Galleries, he has a wide-reaching background in 19th and 20th century works as well as contemporary painting, sculpture, and photography.

Judging will also be overseen by C+C Photography Gallery curators and directors Lindsay Ebanks and Julia Oxman.

By entering C+C Photography Gallery’s Global Fine Art Photography Competition, you hereby accept these Competition Rules and Terms & Conditions.

C+C Photography Gallery reserves the right to disqualify and remove any application that does not comply with the stated criteria, even after the application has been submitted through the C+C Photography Global Fine Art Photography Competition website.

All applications are final. No changes can be made after submission. No refunds will be given under any circumstances.

C+C Photography Gallery recognizes that each applicant retains full ownership of the copyright of each image submitted to the Global Fine Art Photography Competition.

All applicants recognize that any image submitted to the Global Fine Art Photography Competition may be used by C+C Photography Gallery for marketing and promotional purposes for a maximum of one (1) year following judging in August 2024.

The decision of the judges is final.
